Swans v Flamingos

These two stunning birds are equally beautiful but couldn't be more different!

Here are a few fun facts...

The swan is graceful and elegant and often associated with the ballet, Swan Lake.  The mute Swan is protected by the Queen and quite rightly so, it is a criminal offence in the UK to harm one.

The word "Flamingo" come from the Spanish & Latin word "Flamenco" which means fire and refers to the bright vibrant colour of the birds feathers.
